Sharing Boards With a Link
Every board has its own link. Press Share, send the link, and the other person gets your exact layout: same widgets, same positions, same text. No account needed on either side.
How to share a board
- Open the board you want to share on the dashboard.
- Press the Share button in the top bar. The link is copied to your clipboard automatically.
- Send the link however you like: email, chat, or a staff shared drive.
- The recipient opens the link and sees your exact board, ready to use. They can press Save to keep it in their own browser.
What the link contains
The link holds the full board layout inside the web address itself: which widgets are on the board, where each one sits, and the text and settings you entered. Nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is involved, which is why sharing is free and instant.
This works for templates too. Open any of the 20 templates, change the text to fit your class, press Share, and send it to a colleague: they get your adapted version, not the blank original. One note: boards with large uploaded images can make the link very long, so share big images separately if a link ever fails to open.
Frequently asked questions
Does the other person need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can open the board. There are no accounts anywhere in My Classroom Screen.
Will they see my saved boards too?
No. A share link carries only the board you shared. Your other saved boards stay in your browser and are never included.
Can they change the board I shared?
They get their own copy. Anything they change or save affects only their browser, never your original board.
What if the link is too long to send?
Very large boards, especially ones with uploaded images, can produce long links. Remove the images or share them separately, then copy the link again.
