The Typing Test widget gives students timed typing practice with short, kid friendly texts. The timer starts with the first letter typed, correct letters turn green as you go, and the board shows live words per minute and accuracy. Choose a 30 second warm up or a full 60 second test. No signup needed.
How to take the typing test
- Choose a test length: 30 seconds for a quick warm up, or 60 seconds for a full test.
- Click the typing box and start typing the text shown above it. The timer starts with your first letter.
- Correct letters turn green and mistakes turn red. Your words per minute and accuracy update live.
- When the time runs out, your final speed and accuracy appear. Press Restart to try again, or New Text for a different passage.
